The "TL" series telescopic cylinders are linear actuators with a stroke that is longer than the overall dimensions of the completely closed cylinder. The design concept is that of several cylinders in one; selection is effected as a function of final stage pushing force (the bore of the smallest cylinder). The "TLBD" (2 stages) version can also be supplied with a pushing force equivalent to that of a cylinder with a 32 or 50 mm bore.
For attachment accessories see the section for ISO 15552 cylinders.
How to choose telescopic cylinder
1) Telescopic cylinder has been developed to push because the pulling force is very low.
2) Load has to be guided with external guide because it cannot accept radial load.
3) Movement of the stages has a predetermined sequence only for the getting in stroke.
4) Increasing the stroke, increase time to start from the extended position to get back in the retracted position.
5) Speed regulation can be adjusted just for the getting in stroke, for the getting out one you have to adjust working pressure.
6) Magnetic switches cannot be used.
7) This actuator has no rotating piston rod.
